Majestic Byway Puzzle

The Majestic Byway puzzle by artist William Mangum features the Linn Cove Viaduct, an engineering marvel on the Blue Ridge Parkway. In short, this 550-piece jigsaw puzzle is a beautiful fall mountain scene.

About the Artwork

The viaduct curves around the side of Grandfather Mountain, offering amazing views of the mountains. Meanwhile, the fall colors surround the road.

In addition, it lets visitors share the journey along America’s favorite drive. Completed in 1987, it was the final link of the Blue Ridge Parkway.

William Mangum’s warm colors and loose brushwork give the scene a peaceful, inviting feel.

Where to Start

Start with the border, then build the viaduct, using its curve as a guide, since it stands out right away. Next, work on the fall trees. After that, piece together the rocks and mountainside. Finally, fill in the sky, sorting those pieces by shade.
