Teresa Pennington takes a whimsical look at the flight path of birds and butterflies in the Flight Path puzzle. In short, this gorgeous 550-piece jigsaw puzzle leads you through an enchanted forest.
About the Artwork
Birds and butterflies weave their way through the trees, creating a sense of movement across the whole scene. It’s a magical, storybook take on the natural world.
In addition, the forest setting gives the artwork depth and plenty of fine detail. As a result, there’s always something new to spot as you build.
Like Teresa Pennington’s other puzzles in our collection, the design is full of careful detail and texture.
Where to Start
Start with the border, then pick out the birds and butterflies, since they’re the most colorful parts of the picture. Next, follow their flight path through the trees. After that, build the larger tree trunks and branches. Finally, fill in the forest background, sorting those pieces by shade and texture.

A Flight Path Puzzle for the Whole Family
Overall, at 550 pieces, it’s a fun puzzle for the entire family. For example, younger puzzlers can hunt for the butterflies, while adults take on the forest.
In addition, the whimsical subject makes it a nice change of pace from traditional landscapes. Also, birds and butterflies give kids plenty to point out and name as the picture comes together. As a result, it’s a great choice for a multi-generation puzzle afternoon with grandparents and grandkids.
It also makes a lovely gift for bird watchers, gardeners and anyone who loves a touch of whimsy.
