Teresa Pennington has created the perfect Christmas puzzle with A Smoky Mountain Christmas, a festive 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle set in a snowy mountain landscape.
About the Artwork
Santa Claus and his reindeer visit a rustic cabin surrounded by winter’s snow. A cheerful snowman and a sled complete the classic holiday scene.
In addition, the cabin, the reindeer and Santa give you strong focal points to build around. Meanwhile, the snowy hillsides and trees offer a satisfying challenge for experienced puzzlers.
This 1000-piece puzzle is one of our popular holiday designs. In fact, so many people asked for a smaller size that we created a 550-piece version too.
Where to Start
Start with the border, then build Santa and his reindeer, since they are the most colorful part of the scene. Next, work on the rustic cabin, using the logs and roofline as a guide. The snowman and sled make a fun third section. Save the snowy hillsides, trees and sky for last, sorting those pieces by shade to keep things moving.

Start a New Holiday Tradition
Create a new tradition by completing A Smoky Mountain Christmas during the holidays. For example, set it up after Thanksgiving, and the whole family can help finish it before Christmas morning.
It also makes a wonderful gift for anyone who loves the Smoky Mountains or classic Santa scenes. Many families pull it out year after year, so it’s a great way to build a holiday memory that lasts.
Framing A Smoky Mountain Christmas Puzzle
The finished puzzle measures 30″ x 24″. Then use puzzle glue or a puzzle saver, let it dry flat, then frame it as a mountain Christmas scene for your cabin or living room.

Quality was good, but one piece was missing, however with a little patience I was able to fix it. If the subject matter is good I glue the finished puzzle to a backing board but before I could do this I had to sand the back of the puzzle to make it smooth before applying the glue. This was due to high ridges remaining on the pieces when the puzzle was cut.
Bottom line I will continue to purchase your puzzles.
