A Country Christmas by artist Barb Tourtillotte is a 1000-piece Christmas jigsaw puzzle that takes you to a cozy log cabin tucked into the snow. It’s a wonderful way to spend the holidays.
About the Artwork
Outside the cabin, a cheerful snowman greets his winter friends. Meanwhile, a classic red truck sits nearby, ready for hauling the family Christmas tree.
In addition, with 1000 pieces, the snowy fields, the cabin logs and the evergreens give experienced puzzlers plenty to work on. Also, the bright red truck and the snowman make great landmarks as you go.
The scene has a warm, nostalgic feel that suits rustic holiday décor. In fact, it’s the kind of picture that makes you want to light a fire and stay in for the evening.
Where to Start
Begin with the border, then build the red truck, since it’s the brightest spot in the picture. Next, work on the cabin logs and windows, which give you strong lines to follow. The snowman and his winter friends make a fun third section. Finally, tackle the snowy fields and evergreens, sorting those pieces by shade and shape to keep your progress steady.

Choose Your Challenge
This 1000-piece version of A Country Christmas is a rewarding challenge for seasoned puzzlers. If 1000 pieces is too big a challenge, look for the 550-piece version of this same image.
Of course, both sizes make a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves a country Christmas. Because it’s a larger puzzle, it’s also a great centerpiece for a long holiday weekend when the whole family is home.
Framing A Country Christmas Puzzle
