The Trimming the Tree puzzle by artist Federica Stricker shows Santa adding the finishing touch to a beautiful Christmas tree. In short, this cheerful 550-piece jigsaw puzzle takes place in a snowy country landscape full of holiday details.
About the Artwork
Santa places a glowing star atop a tree full of colorful ornaments, ribbons and twinkling lights. Around him, you’ll find a bundled-up snowman, a bright red barn and a Christmas tree wagon.
Look closely and you’ll also spot a cardinal, a rabbit, snow-covered mountains and plenty of winter greenery. Each of these details gives you a clear section to build.
Bold colors and clearly defined areas make the puzzle approachable. Meanwhile, the tree branches, snow and background scenery provide just enough challenge to keep it interesting.
Where to Start
Begin with the edge pieces, then build Santa and the glowing star at the top of the tree. After that, the red barn and the Christmas tree wagon are easy to spot by color. The snowman, cardinal and rabbit make fun little sections for younger helpers. Leave the snowy mountains and background greenery for the end, when fewer pieces remain to sort.
