Follow the sign and leave reality behind with the This Way… To the Beach puzzle by artist Donna Elias. In short, this 550-piece jigsaw puzzle captures the easygoing charm of a perfect coastal day.
About the Artwork
A sandy path winds through dune grass toward the ocean. Meanwhile, a weathered wooden sign promises exactly what everyone wants: the beach.
Beach chairs, buckets, flip-flops and a bright umbrella complete the scene. In addition, Donna Elias’s soft watercolor style gives everything a relaxed, sunny feel.
It’s a natural fit for beach lovers, coastal homes and anyone who would rather be oceanside.
Where to Start
Start with the border, then build the weathered wooden sign, since its shape and lettering stand out. Next, piece together the beach chairs, buckets, flip-flops and umbrella. After that, work on the sandy path and dune grass. Finally, fill in the ocean and sky, sorting those soft watercolor pieces by shade.

The Right Balance of Challenge and Relaxation
Overall, at 550 pieces, this puzzle offers just the right balance. It’s large enough to feel satisfying, yet approachable enough to finish in an afternoon.
For example, set it up at the beach house on your first night, and finish it before you leave. Also, the soft watercolor style makes the pieces pleasant to sort. In addition, it’s a cheerful gift for anyone counting down the days until their next trip to the coast.
Of course, it’s also beautiful enough to frame once you complete it.
Framing Your This Way To The Beach Puzzle
