The Lighthouses of Maine puzzle by artist Donna Elias features a sea chart collage of Maine’s most famous lighthouses. In short, it’s a beautiful 550-piece jigsaw puzzle for lighthouse fans.
About the Artwork
The collage includes Portland Head, Pemaquid Point, West Quoddy Head, Bass Harbor, Nubble, Rockland Breakwater and Goat Island Light.
In addition, the sea chart background shows the rugged Maine coastline. As a result, each lighthouse sits in its real place along the coast.
Donna Elias’s soft watercolor style gives every lighthouse a gentle, inviting feel. If you enjoy this design, be sure to look at Harborside too.
Because Maine’s coastline is so rocky, these lighthouses have guided ships for generations.
Where to Start
Start with the border, then build each lighthouse one at a time, using its shape and colors as a guide, since it stands out right away. Next, work on the sea chart coastline. After that, piece together the water and map details. Finally, fill in the background, sorting those pieces by shade.

Fantastic puzzle offering hours of family fun to complete. Children and adults both fully engaged and kids recognized Portland Head from our recent trip to Maine. Highly recommend this company and their puzzles–have sent several as gifts.

I purchased this puzzle as a gift for my friend who absolutely loved it. An avid puzzle fan, this “Lighthouses of Maine Puzzle” was perfect as she loves the Nautical theme and is planning to move to Maine when she retires. This was my first time ordering from Heritage Puzzle and I am very pleased with my transaction overall. Their on-line website is easy to use and their Customer Service is great. The two puzzles I ordered are of good quality and they arrived quickly after being placed into another box to protect them from damage during shipping. It has been a pleasure doing business with Heritage Puzzle and I plan on keeping my eye out for any future “must-have’s”. I highly recommend shopping here.
