The Surfin’ USA puzzle by artist Scott Westmoreland is a nostalgic tribute to woodie wagons and surfers. In short, this 550-piece jigsaw puzzle celebrates classic American surf culture.

About the Artwork

Woodie wagons loaded with boards bring back the golden age of surfing. It’s a sunny, upbeat scene full of retro charm.

In addition, the vintage cars and surfboards give you bold shapes and colors to follow. As a result, the puzzle is fun to sort and build.

If you enjoy this design, be sure to look at G’Day Mate, its companion puzzle by Scott Westmoreland.

Where to Start

Start with the border, then build the woodie wagons, using their wood panels as a guide, since it stands out right away. Next, work on the surfboards. After that, piece together the beach and any surfers. Finally, fill in the sky and water, sorting those pieces by shade.

A beautiful finished & framed puzzle. Fun to do, with just the right “challenge factor”.
We decorate our beach home with beautiful jigsaw puzzles! This is one of my favorites!

  2. Fred Burner –

I never had the opportunity to drive a “woodie” wagon to the beach although I do remember them. This puzzle was challenging with lots of sand, water and sky but now that it put together I find it difficult to take it apart. Also, Heritage puzzles are quality products.
