The Lighthouses of Door County, Wisconsin puzzle by artist Bev Schreiber features the lighthouses found on this Great Lakes peninsula. In short, this 550-piece jigsaw puzzle is a beautiful tribute to the region.
About the Artwork
Door County sits between Green Bay and Lake Michigan, so its long shoreline has needed many lights. Each one has its own shape and character.
In addition, Bev Schreiber gives every lighthouse careful detail and warm color. As a result, each one is a small puzzle of its own.
Because the peninsula is a favorite vacation spot, many puzzlers will recognize lighthouses they’ve visited.

Where to Start
Start with the border, then build each lighthouse one at a time, using its colors as a guide, since it stands out right away. Next, work on the shorelines and rocks. After that, piece together the water. Finally, fill in the sky and background, sorting those pieces by shade.

As a child, I spent part of each summer in Door County. I knew about a few of the lighthouses, but certainly not all of them. The colors in his puzzle are beautiful and serene. The pieces snap into place and it all fits so nicely together. I sent them to my siblings and another friend who goes to Door County each year. While putting the puzzle together, I learned a lot and can’t wait to get back to Wisconsin and see the lighthouses in person!!
