Look for your favorite coastal Delmarva vacation spot on the Delmarva Coast puzzle by artist Kira Talerico. In short, this educational and fun 550-piece jigsaw puzzle is a great vacation memory.
About the Artwork
Kira Talerico, also known as Map Mom, does a great job of representing many favorite things about visiting the Delmarva coast.
From crabs and turtles to oysters and birds, the map is full of coastal life. In addition, each illustration gives you a small, satisfying section to build.
Because the peninsula includes parts of Delaware, Maryland and Virginia, there’s plenty to discover. Similarly, kids will enjoy finding the beaches they’ve visited.
If you enjoy her style, be sure to look at North Carolina Coast and Florida Coast, also by Kira Talerico.
Where to Start
Start with the border, then build the coastline, using the shape of the peninsula as a guide, since it stands out right away. Next, work on the illustrations one at a time, such as the crabs and turtles. After that, piece together the town names and land areas. Finally, fill in the water, sorting those pieces by shade.
