My first Heritage Puzzle and not my last! Total build time was 9.5 hours, more than double the typical time to assemble a 500+ piece puzzle. Owning the king of puzzles (www.stave.com) which have what I call “engineered difficulty” the Heritage puzzle has some of the same engineered challenge at a fraction of the cost of a Stave. Care must be taken to make sure each piece not only fits but also matches the pattern since numerous pieces seemed like a perfect fit but proved to be misplaced. Some pieces have no interlocking features and are instead delightfully contour fit. Some of the interlocking pieces are truly a work of design art themselves, very Stave-like. The only suggested improvement would be inclusion of a full-size foldout image – many times the box photo provided poor color matching but that added to the challenge. Shipping was delayed with a tracking number that USPS did not recognize for almost a week but communication was excellent with the owner. Bottom line – highly recommend Heritage Puzzle for your next puzzle project(s)!
