Kick back and watch the surf with the Idle Time puzzle by William Mangum. In short, this 550-piece jigsaw puzzle captures a familiar, relaxing scene for beachgoers.

About the Artwork

Nothing beats kicking back and watching the mesmerizing surf as it laps the shoreline. This scene captures that peaceful moment perfectly.

Like William Mangum’s other coastal puzzles in our collection, the artwork is warm, calm and inviting. In addition, the gentle waves give the picture a soothing rhythm.

As a result, it’s a wonderful puzzle for unwinding after a busy week.

Where to Start

Start with the border, then look for the most distinct details in the scene, since they make great landmarks. Next, build the shoreline, using the edge of the surf as a guide. After that, work on the waves and water. Finally, fill in the sand and sky, sorting those pieces by shade.

I loved this puzzle. You don’t have to be ‘getting up there, in age,” to picture yourself here, at the beach, umbrella and bike at hand, to sit and ponder the breaking waves. I only have to look at the picture to hear the ocean. I can’t get enough of these quality beach puzzles!
