Zinnia Garden Puzzle

The Zinnia Garden puzzle by artist Dempsey Essick features an assortment of zinnias with an old 1940s watering can. In short, this 550-piece jigsaw puzzle is a cheerful summer garden scene.

About the Artwork

A faded garden sign and two visiting goldfinches complete the scene. Meanwhile, the zinnias fill the garden with bright color.

In addition, Dempsey Essick paints every petal and feather with care. As a result, the puzzle is full of satisfying details.

Because zinnias bloom all summer, the scene feels like a warm afternoon in the garden.

Where to Start

Start with the border, then build the watering can, using its shape as a guide, since it stands out right away. Next, work on the goldfinches and garden sign. After that, piece together the zinnias one color at a time. Finally, fill in the background, sorting those pieces by shade.
