Santa stops by to do his Christmas duty and meets a furry friend waiting for gifts in the Shh…Good Dog. puzzle, a 550-piece holiday jigsaw by artist Teresa Pennington.
About the Artwork
This charming colored pencil drawing captures a sweet, quiet moment on Christmas Eve. Santa has come to deliver presents, but the family dog is wide awake and ready to greet him.
In addition, the playful title says it all. It’s a lighthearted scene that dog lovers will recognize right away.
Like Teresa Pennington’s other colored pencil puzzles in our collection, the artwork is full of fine detail and texture. Those details give you plenty to study as each section comes together.
Where to Start
Begin with the border, then build Santa, since his red suit stands out right away. Next, work on the dog, using the fine colored pencil texture of the fur as your guide. The gifts and holiday details make good small sections to finish next. Save the darker background areas for last, and sort those pieces by shade to keep things moving.
