Enjoy the peacefulness of the golden hour as the moon rises over the beach in the Coastal Moonrise puzzle by photographer Peter Doran. In short, this beautiful 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle will provide hours of enjoyment.
About the Artwork
The moon rises over the shore as the last warm light of the day settles on the sand. It’s a calm, quiet moment that many beach lovers treasure.
Because it’s a photograph, the puzzle captures the real colors of the golden hour. In addition, the soft light gives the whole scene a gentle glow.
If you enjoy this image, be sure to look at Coastal Sunrise, another favorite from Peter Doran.
Where to Start
Start with the border, then build the moon and the brightest part of the sky, since it stands out right away. Next, work on any dunes, sea oats or beach details. After that, piece together the water and its reflections. Finally, fill in the remaining sky, sorting those pieces by shade.

A Coastal Moonrise Puzzle for Quiet Evenings
Overall, at 1000 pieces, it’s a rewarding challenge for experienced puzzlers. In addition, the soft golden tones reward a careful eye. Because the light is so soft, the sky and water blend gently, giving you a calm, rewarding finish.
For example, work on it in the evenings as the sun goes down outside. Also, it pairs beautifully with Coastal Sunrise as a matching set.
It also makes a thoughtful gift for photographers and anyone who loves an evening walk on the beach.
Framing Your Finished Puzzle

We have a new tradition for our beach vacation — working on a puzzle or two. We leave it on the table and anyone can work on the puzzle as much or as little as they want. We had people working on the puzzles early in the morning until late at night. Unfortunately, we didn’t finish this puzzle, but it’s something to look forward to next year! Nice quality and difficult.

A beautiful scene. It reminded me of our trips to South Carolina. The quality of the puzzle was superb. The right size and firmness of the puzzle pieces were perfect.
